Day 0

I have to be up and coherent in less than 5 hours in order to track down my (inevitably errant) minicab, throw the last few things into an already over-limit assortment of luggage, and catch a plane. I should be sleeping, or at least tossing and turning with anticipation. And instead here I am starting a blog, a thing I never thought I'd do.

But I'm about to set off to Ankara, Turkey, to spend my entire summer holiday between first and second year of medical school with my boyfriend. Something tells me this might be an experience worth writing about.

We'll find out.
